Minzhi and Longhua Subdistricts in Longhua District have been enlisted as the new core urban areas of Shenzhen, according to the city’s 14th Five-Year Plan released this June.

The plan positions Longhua District as a comprehensive service center in central Shenzhen, a pilot demonstration area of digital economy, a source of future city scenarios and smart governance, a key transportation hub, and a new powerhouse for newly-emerged and fashion industries, and casts light on the construction of six key areas, including the Shenzhen North Railway Station International Commercial Area, Jiulongshan Digital Town, Luhu Central Town, Longhua International Business Circle, Dalang Fashion Town, and Guanlan Culture Town, all of which helps build Longhua District into an international innovative hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
